Here is a cool trick when camping and fishing I show you how to make a simple worm charming tool also known as worm grunting, it’s probably the weirdest sport ever. But I knew I had to try it. It was smart way of catching worms

The worms think it's raining, so they come to the surface to avoid drowning.
There seems to be some sort of consensus on t'internet that these vibrations cause the worms to think it's raining so, for some reason they come up to the surface where all the water is to avoid drowning, rather than moving away from the water by going down. However, the evidence suggests it's connected to the vibrations felt by the worm when there's a mole nearby, and it's an attempt to avoid being eaten rather than drowning. (That may have sounded a bit sarcastic there. It wasn't meant to be, eh.)

Any object on which a consonant sound can be caused will cause the worms to come out. A drill with a switch on the hammer does the same thing.
